"Everyone went to school somewhere..." and for me it was North Miami Senior High (Florida that is, not Ohio). When I heard that there were several huge reunions being organized (with the help of the Internet) I was a bit interested. Now..., when I heard that some people had some ancient vinyl records (remember those?) of the bands and choruses of 30 and 40 years ago, I thought it would be a cool idea to restore the music and put it on CD. Well, we did it, and it worked out quite nicely. We invested about 16 hours (in studio-speak that's about $1000) and we now have a CD that you can purchase to bring back those golden years!!  (This CD, and two bottles of Ripple Pagan Pink, and you'll probably have a FlashBack!!!). We also have a FREE MP3 of the 1960 class (band and chorus) doing the fight song! (Go Pioneers!)

What We Ended Up With:  In this day and age, lots of computer horsepower is pretty easy to come by (and we have lots of it right here - 20 machines of various size and functionality). Someone loaned us a 33RPM LP from 1970, and a 45 RPM from 1960, and we transferred them to our computer systems and we used a couple of pieces of fancy software that are designed to "remove hiss," "remove scratches" and "clean up" old recordings.  We moved 17 songs from the LP and the 2 from the 45 onto the computers and began work.  Lots of coffee, some ear drops, and several days later we had 19 songs ready to burn onto a CD, and that we did.  They turned out pretty good. Even we were impressed by the difference. Oh, you'll still here a few scratches at very low levels, but all in all they are all tremendously improved.

How you can get one (we know you're just dying to get your hands on this CD!):  I'm not sure exactly who would want a copy of the NMSH Restoration Project CD (I wanted one, of course) and Mary and Alice got one for free for providing the recordings, but you too can have one if you like.  We're selling them in an attempt to recoup the money spent in the restoration process.  Select the shipping method (and sales tax checkbox if you are in VA) and follow the instructions to use our secure credit card purchase method (it's very safe).  You may also send us your prder via the US Mail.
